Welcome to Birthright of Kokomo

At Birthright, we understand the challenges related to unplanned pregnancies. We know that it can be an overwhelming situation. We also know that there is hope for the mother and her child. Birthright believes that “It is the right of every pregnant woman to give birth, and the right of every child to be born.” Birthright is here to be the friend that a pregnant woman needs as she navigates an unplanned pregnancy. We offer love, friendship, and support to women who are pregnant or think they may be pregnant. Birthright services are always free, non-judgmental and confidential. We can also provide information, referrals, and resources to help the woman help herself. Birthright is available 24/7 through our toll-free helpline. Birthright is not involved in any religious movements, political activities, or lobbying. Birthright’s focus is on loving the mother, reminding her that there is hope and ensuring she is not alone.

Birthright of Kokomo Celebrates 30th. Anniversary May 2017!

Come help us celebrate our 30th. anniversary on May 20th. in Foster Park for a Walk and Stroller - thon! The walk will begin at 10:00 am and end at 1:00 pm. Walkers (and little ones in strollers!) can come during these times to walk the "Walk of Excellance" in Foster Park while donating to a worthy cause and celebrating Birthright's commitment to helping women and babies.  This is a family friendly event :) and children 10 years old and younger are free.  Walkers over the age of 10 years old are $10. All proceeds go to support Birthright of Kokomo's free and confidential services.   We look forward to meeting everyone that comes out to the walk & stroller-a-thon!

Birthright International Convention, June 2017, Orlando, FL!

I plan to attend the convention this year along with about 200 other Birthright volunteers from all over the USA, Canada, and Africa. We learn so much, are given additional training, and updated on exciting Birthright news!

Fundraisers

We rely completely on donations from generous people to fund our ministry.  Please let us know if you would like to help with a fundraiser for Birthright. We would love to hear from you!

We are in serious need of "like new" or new maternity clothes, especially pants, leggings, shorts, skirts, and sweat pants in size XL.

New maternity underwear (all sizes, especially XL), Nursing bras (any size) "like new" or new

new baby clothes in sizes preemie, 0-3 month, and 3-6 month sizes are the sizes that we can accept. We accept only new baby clothes for safety reasons.

Items that we cannot accept for safety reasons are: Formula, baby food, furniture, safety equipment, and pacifiers. If you have a question about what we are allowed to accept, please call us and we would be happy to speak with you! :) Safety is always a top priority.

Yard work is always a need and we gratefully accept offers to help maintain our yard (lawn mowing, weeding, and other yard clean up).

Thank you to the Knights of Columbus!

In Sept. 2015, a 2 sided Birthright of Kokomo billboard advertisment went up on U.S. 22 between 350 W. and 400 W!

We would like to thank the Knights of Columbus for paying for the vinyl artwork covering for our billboard advertisment!! This was a huge blessing to our ministry!

If you would like to sponsor one of our monthly lease payments for the billboard ad, please contact our office. We would love to hear from you! smiley

How Can You Help?

We cannot help girls and women who are experiencing a crisis pregnancy or need help carrying their babies to term, if they do not know about us. This is why advertising our free and confidential pregnancy help services is so crucial.

We need your financial help to keep the services of Birthright advertised on a consistent basis, because a crisis doesn't make an appointment.

We thank you for considering helping us to keep Birthright's services advertised!

Volunteers

Do you have a couple of hours a week to help new moms?

Do you enjoy young people and babies?  If so, please let us know and we can train you to be an indispensable asset to our ministry! Call or email us and get started on the road to helping moms.
