Birthright is here to support you, regardless of your circumstances. We promise non-judgemental, confidential, free service to every person in need. There are a number of ways that Birthright can support you, based on you’re your personal situation.

I need diapers/formula/clothes/baby stuff.

Birthright is able to provide some material support for our client, though keep in mind that this is not the focus of our service. The specific program for material support varies by location, so it would be best to reach out to your nearest Birthright location for details on their services.

Will you tell my parents/boyfriend/the father/baby daddy?

Birthright services are confidential and non-judgemental. Birthright will not share your visit, or any of its details, with anybody, under any circumstance.

Can I bring my friend/boyfriend/baby daddy/child?

Birthright welcomes to you visit us in whatever capacity you are comfortable. You are welcome to attend alone, or bring someone with you. If you do bring someone with you (with the exception of a child), the Birthright volunteers may ask to speak with you alone. This is simply to allow you space and freedom to share your thoughts openly. However, you are also welcome to inform the Birthright volunteers that you would prefer to not be alone and proceed in the company of your companion. Babies and children are always welcome at Birthright.

Do you offer food/vouchers/financial assistance/rent assistance ?

Birthright is a pregnancy support service, offering free non-judgemental support to people who are pregnant or think they may be. Birthright is able to offer some material support to our clients, Birthright is unable to offer food, vouchers and financial assistance (including rent or utility assistance) for any person, including our clients.

Can you give me a crib/car seat/high chair/swing/playpen?

Due to strict government regulations, Birthright is unable to distribute baby items with safety associations. This includes cribs, car seats, highchairs, bassinets, pack and play, bath tubs, swings, walkers, bouncers, carriers, etc.

Can I get an ultrasound/birth control/morning after pill?

Birthright is not a medical facility, therefore we are unable to provide or refer for medical services.

I don’t have insurance, what do I do?

Birthright services are always free and confidential. We do not require any documentation or insurance to receive services. Some of our locations will request to see ID to ensure services can be rendered appropriately, however Birthright does not keep details records or require any extensive personal details.

Are you a medical facility?

Birthright is not a medical facility.

Do you do abortion?

Birthright is not a medical facility, therefore we are unable to provide or refer for medical services.

I am looking to adopt, can you connect me with a birth mother?

Due to the confidential nature of our work, Birthright is unable to connect prospective parents with our moms and/or babies.

What volunteer positions do you offer?

The local Birthright would be happy to discuss their volunteer program and needs.

How do I donate to Birthright?

Birthright graciously accepts donations of new and used baby and maternity items, though we are unable to accept donations of baby furniture due to strict government regulations. Birthright is a non-profit, tax exempt, organization, relying solely on the generosity of private financial donors. Birthright Centers can accept financial donations by cheque at the Center, and many also accept donations online.

The local Birthright Center would be more than happy to accept your generous donation. The best thing to do would be to contact them directly to arrange any donation.
